The mission of The Velz Group Foundation Inc. and our partner, On-Site Transitional Services Inc. is to honor and serve America’s Veterans by developing quality affordable housing and creating pathways to stable, independent living through supportive services, emergency shelter, food assistance and access to essential resources.

We are committed to restoring dignity, strengthening independence and creating communities where Veterans are respected, supported and empowered to build secure and hopeful futures.

Our Vision is a future where no veteran is left without a safe place to call home, the support necessary to move forward, or the dignity and respect their service to our nation deserves. We envision becoming a trusted leader in Veteran-centered affordable housing and supportive communities, developing innovative housing solutions and building partnerships that transform lives, strengthen communities and ensure that those who sacrificed  for our country are never forgotten.

The Velz Group Foundation Inc. and On-Site Transitional Services Inc, we believe there are debts that can never truly be repaid, but there are promises we can choose to honor. The freedom we enjoy today was not given to us without sacrifice. It was defended by men and women who raised their hands, put on the uniform of the United States of America, left their families and loved ones behind, and answered a call greater than themselves.

They served. They sacrificed. They stood watch while others slept. They traveled far from home so that millions of Americans could live safely in theirs. Some returned carrying visible wounds. Others returned with battles no one could see. Many successfully transitioned into civilian life, while others encountered challenges involving housing, employment, health, financial stability, isolation, or access to the resources they needed.

And some veterans who once defended our nation eventually found themselves wondering where they would sleep that night. We believe that should never be their story. The Velz Group Foundation Inc. was created from a single but powerful conviction: Those who helped protect our home should never be forgotten when they need a home of their own.

Our commitment to veterans goes beyond providing shelter. We want to create places where veterans can live with dignity, independence, security, community and hope. We envision communities where a veteran does not simply receive a key to an apartment, but receives an opportunity to begin a new chapter.
